About the Event
Need to get up to speed with the emerging trends across the food retail and food-to-go market? This one day session is desgined to do just that, using 10 different concepts to highlight 10 distinct trends that will shape the way we buy food & drink in the future. We'll consider the who, the what, the where and the how in a day designed to encourage you to see the full spectrum of opportunities across the market.
The session will be led by Gavin, an expert in global food-to-go and retail insights, with over 20 years experience in this area. Our one day sessions are led by insight, meaning you take away an up to date view of the opportunities, ready to integrate these into your business strategy.
Our days start with a presentation: we'll talk here about the key broader changes under way in consumers' food & drink mind and activity, and how different concepts globally are tapping into these areas. We'll bring you up to speed on how leading retailers are already reacting to these changes, and highlight what could be next.
You might now be thinking that it will be a day spent on digital screens and in food halls. And you'd be part right, both will feature. But there's much more to the session than that - we'll focus on the latest emerging food retail formats, forward thinking food-to-go operators, the dynamics of travel locations, plus of course stores with tech enabled journeys and food halls. We'lll be thinking about the experiences as well as the transactions of the future. Our thinking throughout the day will be to drive learnings about not just the what but also the how and the why. After the visits, we'll then wrap up the day with key takeouts, giving you actionable insights to take away.
